The Hematology and Cell Therapy Unit was established on September 3rd, 2019 to provide intensive medical care for patients with benign or malignant hematological diseases, by means of chemotherapy, Cellular immunity, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, autologous immune boosting therapy, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and treatment of patients with benign or malignant hematologic disease

  • Perform hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, other immunological and hematological diseases

Working hours

  • From 09:00 am Monday to 12:00 every Saturday (Closed Sunday)

  • Associate Professor. Doctor. Doctor Yi Hyeon Gyu has experience in conducting more than 300 hematopoietic stem cell transplants in Korea

  • Isolation unit (6 rooms) for hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients

  • Hematological malignancies: Acute/chronic leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative disease, myeloproliferative disorders, etc.

  • Benign hematological pathology: Myelosuppression, Thalassemia, Hemorrhagic Immune thrombocytopenia, Hemolytic anemia, Thrombosis, Hemophilia.

  • Autoimmune diseases: Scleroderma with indications for transplantation.

  • Patients want to be consulted and treated with cell therapies.

  • The patient has the following symptoms:

    • Abnormalities in indicators such as the number of WBCs, Platelets, Red blood cells, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit.

    • Enlarged lymph nodes in the armpit, neck, groin,... (not lipomas, inflammatory tumors, abscesses...)

    • Abnormal bleeding: Hemorrhagic spots, hemorrhagic plaques, easy bleeding, bruises…
