1. What are the uses of Ketovazol 2%?

The drug works to treat diseases caused by fungal infections of the skin such as: fungal infections in the body (ringworm, strabismus), fungus in the groin, fungus in the hands and feet. Treatment of skin candidiasis and ringworm. The drug is also used in seborrheic dermatitis (pathology related to the fungus Malassezia furfur).

2. Usage of Ketovazol 2% blood pressure medicine


2.1. How to use Ketovazol 2% topical Ketovazol skin cream is a topical drug, you take a sufficient amount of medicine and apply to the infected skin area. Note, clean the affected skin area before applying the medicine.
2.2. Dosage of Ketovazol skin cream Fungal infections of the body, inguinal fungus, hand fungus, skin candidiasis and ringworm: Apply once a day to the infected area and adjacent skin. The usual duration of treatment is:
Fungal infections of the stem: 3-4 weeks. Fungal infection in the groin: 2-4 weeks. Hand fungus, dermatophytosis and tinea versicolor: 2-3 weeks. Fungal infections of the feet: Apply once a day to the affected area and adjacent skin for 4-6 weeks, or apply twice a day for 1 week. Seborrheic dermatitis : Apply to the fungal infection area and adjacent skin 1-2 times per day depending on the extent of the lesion. The usual duration of treatment is 2-4 weeks, maintenance treatment 1-2 times per week. In the event of an emergency or overdose, immediately call 911 or go to the nearest local health station. 3. Notes when using Ketovazol 2%


You should not use Ketovazol 2% topical if you are sensitive to ketoconazole. Do not apply the medicine when there are no signs and symptoms of disease, nor do you apply it to mucous membranes such as eyes, mouth or vagina because the medicine can cause irritation. Things you need to keep in mind when taking Ketovazol 2% in special cases (pregnancy, lactation, surgery...) Ketovazol topical cream crosses the placenta but there are no adequate studies in humans yet. The drug should only be used during pregnancy when the potential benefits outweigh the possible risks to the fetus. The drug may be secreted into breast milk, therefore, a mother being treated with ketovazole 2% should not breastfeed.

4. Side effects of the drug Ketovazol 2%


The most common adverse reactions reported in association with the use of ketoconazole were gastrointestinal side effects, such as: gastrointestinal disturbances, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Less commonly reported adverse reactions include headache, reversible elevations of liver enzymes, menstrual disturbances, dizziness, photophobia, paresthesia and allergic reactions. Adverse events reported with low frequency were thrombocytopenia, baldness (alopecia), impotence, and reversible raised intracranial pressure (eg, papilledema, bulging fontanelle in infants). In very rare cases, at doses higher than the therapeutic doses of 200 mg and 400 mg per day, reversible gynecomastia and low spermatogenesis were observed. At a therapeutic dose of 200 mg per day, a temporary decrease in plasma testosterone levels can be observed. Testosterone levels returned to normal within 24 hours of ketoconazole treatment. During long-term treatment at therapeutic doses, blood testosterone concentrations are usually not different from controls. During the use of Ketovazol topical cream, hepatitis (mostly due to allergic reactions) may occur. This condition is usually reversible if the medication is stopped immediately.
