Hydrocortisone in Forsancort is a corticosteroid secreted from the adrenal cortex, belonging to the group of glucocorticoids with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antipruritic and immunosuppressive effects.

4. Side effects when taking Forsancort


When taking the drug for a long time continuously can cause Cushing's syndrome, adrenal cortex failure. Locally can cause contact dermatitis, thinning of the skin, atrophy of the skin, delayed scar healing, acne, hirsutism, loss of skin pigmentation.

5. Notes when using Forsancort


Contraindicated for patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Patients with bacterial infections, viral infections (chicken pox, shingles, herpes), fungal or parasitic infections, skin ulcers. Do not use the drug in ophthalmology. When using the drug avoid direct contact with the conjunctiva of the eye. Long-term drug use must consider the risk of suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. High doses should be used with caution in people with osteoporosis, peptic ulcer, hypertension, tuberculosis. Hydrocortisone contained in Forsancort is excreted in breast milk, posing a risk to the infant. Even with normal doses, long-term use of the drug, high doses may cause suppression of the fetal adrenal cortex. Therefore, pregnant and lactating women when taking the drug must have a prescription and the supervision of a specialist.
