Hello doctor. My mother is 70 years old, has diabetes and high blood pressure, often has low blood sugar. Today, I went to the doctor, diagnosed my mother with a heart condition, asked to be admitted to the hospital for a coronary check-up test, if the worst case scenario, angioplasty. Your mother is an elderly female patient with many risk factors for coronary heart disease (hypertension, diabetes, etc.), if symptoms of chest pain or shortness of breath affect daily activities, need to be examined by a cardiologist and screened for coronary artery disease. In the case of coronary arteries with severe stenosis, high risk of myocardial infarction, heart failure, angioplasty, stenting or coronary artery bypass graft surgery is required.
