A positive Anti-HBs test requires hepatitis B vaccination?

Question
Hello doctor,
Previously, I had a blood test for hepatitis B but was not infected and received hepatitis B vaccine. First time: November 2012; 2nd time: 12/2012, 3rd time: May 2013. Then in May 2017, I went back to check and gave the following results: Anti HBs - Positive 12.8 (<10) IU/L - SHLS/QTXN/27 (MD); Total Anti HBc - Positive 9.03 (<1.0 S/CO) - SHLS/QTXN/28 (MD). When the doctor sees the results and says no more vaccinations are needed. The doctor asked me if I tested positive for Anti-HBs, should I get the hepatitis B vaccine again? Thank you doctor.

Hello,
To the question "Is a positive Anti-HBs test necessary to get hepatitis B vaccine?", the doctor would like to answer as follows:
Show your results yes Anti-HBs is 12.8 positive (>10 IU/L), which means you already have antibodies against the hepatitis B virus and this level of antibody is protective against hepatitis B virus infection. You no longer need the hepatitis B vaccine.
If you still have questions about the positive Anti-HBs test symptoms, you can get hepatitis B vaccine, you can go to the hospital of Vinmec Health System for further testing and advice. Thank you for trusting and sending questions to Vinmec. Wishing you lots of health.
Best regards!
