Hello doctor, I am suffering from a sore throat caused by acid reflux. May I ask if I need to treat a sore throat after the reflux is finished? I heard that after treating the reflux, the sore throat will go away on its own, but now my throat is hurt, if I don't heal the wound, will I get a sore throat? Hello. Pharyngitis has many causes, including gastroesophageal reflux. When I have just had gastroesophageal reflux and pharyngitis, if the reflux treatment is successful but the sore throat goes away on its own, I do not need to treat the sore throat.
