Hello,
To the question "What does the ultrasound scan of the liver mean?", the doctor would like to answer as follows:
As the ultrasound results describe, you have a mild fatty liver condition. and Small Gallbladder Polyps. Your current medical condition is not dangerous. However, you need to see a gastroenterologist for advice on doing more tests and periodic monitoring.
Currently, polyps are small in size, without clinical signs, you should visit a Gastroenterology specialist periodically to monitor every 6 months. If the polyp is large and/or abnormal, the doctor will advise to remove the gallbladder when indicated.
If you still have questions about what the hepatobiliary ultrasound results mean, you can go to the hospital of Vinmec Health System for further examination and advice. Thank you for trusting and sending questions to Vinmec. Wishing you lots of health.
Best regards!
