Can lymph nodes go away completely?
Ask
Hello doctor. My baby is 5 years old. About two months ago, there were swollen lymph nodes on both sides of the neck, small and few lymph nodes. At first, the baby had a fever due to swollen lymph nodes and tooth pulp inflammation. The baby's teeth have been healed, but the lymph nodes are still not completely gone. The doctor said the ganglion root took several months to heal. Doctor tell me, can this lymph node go away completely? Looking forward to consulting your doctor.

Hello. According to your description, it is possible that this is a lymph node belonging to the body's immune system. This submandibular lymph node is palpable in many normal people. In some cases, when the body has an infection, the lymph nodes will appear or enlarge.
Baby has been treated for myelitis, lymph nodes may disappear after a few months. If after a few months the lymph nodes are only small and not completely gone, you can take your baby to the doctor to see if he still has an infection.
You should go to the doctor for a better diagnosis.
