Answer
Hello. Usually mild head trauma only affects the outer skin and muscles, rarely the inside of the skull. You should watch for the following signs within 24-48 hours: Unusual drowsiness, persistent headache, nausea or vomiting, fatigue, irritability with unconsciousness, slow neurological manifestations such as antsy feeling. Weak limbs and other unusual symptoms.... You should take your husband to the doctor right away.
You can take your husband to a reputable clinic or a hospital of Vinmec Health System to be examined for advice on whether to have a CT Scan or MRI of the brain.
Thank you for trusting and sending the question “Does head impact have a risk of brain hematoma?” to Vinmec. Best regards.
