Epilepsy treatment for 7 years but no remission, what to do?

Question
Hello doctor, I have a question for you. I have a cousin who has had epilepsy for nearly 7 years, but taking the medicine prescribed by the doctor has not seen any improvement. The more I drink, the more I feel like the disease is getting worse, but if I don't drink, I often have seizures. The family is very worried, I hope the doctor has a treatment.

Answer
Epilepsy, if you don't take medication to treat it, stop taking it, stay up late, drink alcohol, play video games.. are factors that trigger seizures. My brother took the medicine in full and at the right dose, went to the neurologist for more advice on drugs to support brain cells, and more advice.
Thank you for your question to Vinmec.com website. Wish your cousin well. Best regards.
