My child has laryngeal papillomatosis, operated many times but not cured? Does the doctor have a better way to treat it?

Hello. This is a disease caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV) that is often very recurrent, especially in young children. There have been many treatment methods for this disease such as: Laser surgery, Coblator, Mitomycin C dot surgery, Methotrexate injection, interferon...
However, there is not a complete treatment method that guarantees 100% guarantee. It is also very fortunate that when the children grow up, the disease rate often decreases, many children completely recover by the time they reach adolescence.
Thank you for your question to Vinmec Health System. Best regards.
