What is the success rate of autologous stem cell transplantation?

Ask
Hello doctor! Please ask doctors, what is the success rate of autologous stem cell transplantation? Or how long does the life of a person with cancer last? Special thanks!

Hello! Autologous stem cell transplantation has the advantage of less complications than allogeneic stem cell transplantation, however, the disadvantage is that it is more likely to recur. Stem cell transplantation can completely cure some blood cancers (acute myeloid leukemia - AML or ALL) and can prolong survival for patients with multiple myeloma. Depending on the side of blood cancer, the ability to prolong life when treated with this method is different.
