Fluoridex: Uses, indications and precautions when using

The main ingredient of the drug Fluoridex is sodium fluoride, which makes teeth resistant to tooth decay and bacteria that cause tooth decay. This product is used to prevent tooth decay.

Fluoridex is indicated in the following cases:

An excess of fluoride in the teeth causes discoloration.

It is best to use Fluoridex once daily right before bed in place of your usual toothpaste or as directed by your healthcare professional. Apply a thin strip of medication to a toothbrush and brush thoroughly for 2 minutes or as directed. Spit Fluoridex out after use, do not swallow. Children should rinse their mouths clean immediately. For adults, do not rinse your mouth, eat or drink at least 30 minutes after use to achieve the best effect.

When using Fluoridex you may experience mouth/gum irritation, but this is also rare. If this side effect persists or gets worse, tell your doctor/dentist right away.
Tell your doctor/dentist immediately if your teeth become yellow or pitted after using Fluoridex, which is usually the result of too much fluoride.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed Fluoridex because he or she has judged that the benefit to you outweighs the risk of side effects. Many people who use Fluoridex do not have serious side effects.

A very serious allergic reaction to Fluoridex is very rare. However, if you notice any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction to Fluoridex, including: Rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness serious, difficult to breathe, seek medical help immediately.

Before using Fluoridex, tell your doctor or dentist your medical history, especially of: mouth problems (e.g. sores, mucositis).
Children may be more sensitive to the side effects of Fluoridex, especially if it is swallowed. Monitor children closely while they are taking it to make sure they do not swallow this medicine.
Before using Fluoridex, tell your healthcare professional if you are pregnant. Women who are breastfeeding should consult their doctor before using Fluoridex.

Drug interactions can change the way Fluoridex works or increase your risk of serious side effects. Tell your doctor about all the medications you take (including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products). Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine while using Fluoridex, without your doctor's approval.

If you or someone else has overdosed on Fluoridex and has severe symptoms such as fainting or difficulty breathing, call 911 immediately. Symptoms of a Fluoridex overdose may include: Nausea, vomiting, excess saliva, stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, burning sensation in the mouth or tongue pain.
If you miss a dose of Fluoridex, use it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Take your next dose of Fluoridex at your usual time, do not double your usual dose.

Store Fluoridex at room temperature away from heat, keep it away from children and pets. Dispose of medication appropriately when it is expired or no longer needed.
