Pharmacodynamics: Piroxicam belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with antipyretic and analgesic effects. Metabolism: Piroxicam is extensively metabolised by hydroxylation of the pyridyl nucleus of the side branch, followed by conjugation with glucuronic acid.
