1. What is Bivaltax?


Bivaltax drug is a drug of the group of anti-allergic drugs and used in cases of hypersensitivity with the ingredient Loratadine 10 mg. Drugs manufactured by BV Pharma Joint Stock Company circulated in Vietnam and are registered with VDK-27674-17.

2. Uses of Bivaltax

What does Bivaltax do? Loratadine is a long-acting tricyclic antihistamine with selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonism and no CNS depressant effects. Loratadine is also effective against histamine-related pruritus and urticaria. Loratadine, however, is not protective or clinically helpful in cases of severe histamine release such as anaphylaxis. Loratadine has no sedative effect, in contrast to the sedative side effects of first-generation antihistamines.

Usage:

Dosage:
Oral use:
Adults and children over 12 years old: 1 tablet/day. Children 6-12 years old: >= 30kg: 1 tablet x 1 time/day; < 30 kg: 1/2 tablet x 1 time/day. People with liver or kidney failure: 1/2 tablet/day or 1 tablet/time, every 2 days. Dosage of Bivaltax for Adults

Dosage of Bivaltax for children

Overdose, missed dose and treatment
Overdose:
In case of emergency or overdose with dangerous manifestations, call 911 Emergency Center or go to the nearest local Health Facility. Relatives need to provide the doctor with the prescription they are taking, the medicines they are taking, including prescription and non-prescription drugs.
Missed dose:
In case you miss a dose while taking the medicine, take it as soon as possible (usually it can be taken 1-2 hours before the time ordered by the doctor). However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the prescribed time. Be careful not to double the prescribed dose.

4. Bivaltax side effects


Side effects of Bivaltax drugs:
Fatigue, nausea, headache, rapid pulse, fainting, digestive disturbances and increased appetite.

5. Drug interactions

Cimetidine, erythromycin, ketoconazole, quinidine, fluconazole, fluoxetine increases the concentration of loratadine in the blood.
