Uses of Capilusa

Capilusa medicine has ingredients from natural herbs that help liquefy stagnant sputum in the bronchi, reduce bronchospasm, thereby preventing respiratory irritation factors. The drug is manufactured by Mediplantex Central Pharmaceutical and is not intended for use in children under 6 years of age.

Ivy (also known as Hedera Helix, laurel tree, vine leaves, perennial ...) is an herb that is used to treat respiratory diseases effectively. The ivy leaves contain saponins, flavonoids and rutin that relax the bronchi and stimulate the secretion of phlegm.
With the main ingredient is a dried extract of ivy leaves with a content of 26mg, Capilusa is often used as an expectorant to help treat cough effectively.
Indications of the drug Capilusa:
Treatment of respiratory tract inflammation accompanied by cough; Symptomatic treatment of cough with phlegm in chronic bronchitis.

Capilusa drug is in the form of hard capsules. To use, the user takes the drug with 1 cup of cooled boiled water. Suggested dosage of Capilusa is as follows:
Children from 6 to 12 years old: Take 1 tablet/time x 2 times/day; Adults and children > 12 years old: Take 2 tablets/time x 2 times/day. Note:
The duration of taking Capilusa depends on the severity of the symptoms. However, the drug must be taken for at least 1 week, even if there is only a mild respiratory infection; To ensure effective treatment, it is recommended to take the drug for an additional 2-3 days even after the symptoms are gone; In case the respiratory illness persists and there is additional difficulty breathing, fever, purulent sputum or blood, the patient should take the initiative to see a doctor immediately.

No serious side effects have been reported while taking Capilusa. If the drug is overdosed (more than 3 times a day), users may experience nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Contraindicated when using Capilusa for the following cases:
Allergy, hypersensitivity to ivy leaves or to any other ingredients in the drug; Children under 6 years old (due to the unsuitable dosage form of the drug); Patients with galactose intolerance, complete lactose deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. The safety of Capilusa in pregnancy and lactation has not been established, so it should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Currently, experts have not found out that taking Capilusa together with other drugs causes unwanted side effects, so the use of Capilusa at the same time with other drugs, such as antibiotics, is still considered safe.
Like other natural products, Capilusa has ingredients extracted from plants, so the color of the medicine can sometimes be changed. However, this does not affect the effectiveness of the drug or its ability to treat.
