Uses of Demencur


Demencur drug belongs to the group of psychotropic drugs, indicated as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures. Demencur is available in the form of film-coated tablets.

1. What is Demencurl?


With the main ingredient is Pregabalin (50mg or 75mg), Demencur is used to treat neuropathic pain and to support the treatment of partial seizures in adults.
What does Demencur do?
Treatment of neuropathic pain of central and peripheral origin, generalized anxiety disorder in adults. Adjunctive treatment of partial seizures with or without generalization in adults. Demencur is contraindicated in the following subjects:
People who are sensitive to Pregabalin or any of its ingredients; Women who are breastfeeding; People who often drive or operate machinery.

2. Instructions on how to take Demencur


Dosage of Demencur: From 150-600mg / day, divided into 2-3 times (Can be taken on an empty stomach or full). Specifically:
Treatment of pain of nerve origin: Take the starting dose of 150mg/day, divided into 2 or 3 times. After 3-7 days, the dose can be increased to 300mg/day depending on the level of tolerance and response. If necessary, it can be increased to 600mg (maximum dose) after the next 1 week; Treatment of epilepsy: Oral starting dose of 150mg/day, divided into 2-3 times. After 7 days, it can be increased to 300mg/day depending on the level of tolerance and response. May increase to a maximum dose of 600mg/day after the next 1 week; Treatment of generalized anxiety disorder: Oral starting dose of 150mg/day. After 7 days, it can be increased to 300mg/day depending on the level of tolerance and response. Can increase to 450mg and up to 600mg/day after 1 week. * Note:
Patients with kidney failure: Use Demencur as prescribed by your doctor; Patients with hepatic impairment: No dose adjustment is required; Children and Adolescents: There is no information available on the safety and effectiveness of Pregabalin in patients under 18 years of age. Therefore, do not use Demencur for this subject; Elderly people >65 years old: No dosage adjustment is required, unless the patient's renal function is impaired. 3. Demencurl side effects


During treatment with Demencur, users may encounter the following problems:
Dizziness, drowsiness; Increased appetite; Excited, excitable mood; Erectile dysfunction, decreased sex drive; Disorientation, ataxia, abnormal coordination; Tremor, dysarthria; Memory decline ; Concentration disorder; Paresthesia, sedation; Vestibular disorders ; Edema, peripheral edema. 4. Notes when using Demencurl

5. Drug interactions Demencurl


Pregabalin component in Demencurl drug can interact with the following drugs if treated at the same time:
Increase the effect of Lorazepam and Ethanol; Aggravating cognitive and motor function impairment caused by Oxycodone; Risk of respiratory depression and coma in patients co-administering Pregabalin with other CNS depressants; Decreased function of the lower digestive system (eg, constipation, intestinal obstruction, paralytic ileus...) when used with drugs that cause constipation, typically Opioid analgesics.
