Active ingredient Epoetin Alfa is one of the recombinant human erythropoietins, containing 165 amino acids. Erythropoietin is a mitotic and differentiation hormone that stimulates erythropoiesis. The half-life of Eritromax is approximately 4 hours following repeated intravenous administration of epoetin alfa at doses of 50-100 IU/kg in healthy subjects, 5 hours in renal impairment, and 6 hours in pediatric patients. The biological efficacy of Epoetin alfa has been demonstrated in vivo in various animal models, suggesting structural support of human bone marrow cells, specifically stimulating erythropoiesis without affecting leukocytosis, nor was there any cytotoxic effect of Epoetin alfa on bone marrow cells.

Patients with chronic renal failure on dialysis: 50IU/kg/dose x 3 times/week intravenously, 40IU/kg/dose x 3 times/week injected subcutaneously. Patients with renal insufficiency who do not require dialysis: Injection dose of 75-100IU/kg weekly. Anemia in HIV-infected patients: Injection dose of 100IU/kg x 3 times/week intravenously or subcutaneously, maximum dose 300IU/kg x 3 times/week. Anemia in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy: Inject a dose of 150IU/kg x 3 times/week subcutaneously. Blood transfusion for surgical patients: 300IU/kg/day, injected subcutaneously for 10 days before surgery. Anemia in premature infants: 250IU/kg 3 times/week by subcutaneous injection from the 2nd week of life and for the next 8 weeks. Do not use Eritromax in the following cases:
Uncontrolled hypertension. History of allergy to human albumin. History of allergy to preparations derived from animal cells. Do not use the drug in patients with a history of allergies or hypersensitivity reactions to other ingredients in the drug.
