Fascapin 20 has the main ingredient Nifedipine - a calcium channel antagonist of the Dihydropyridine group in the treatment of hypertension. Fascapin 20 acts through the mechanism of selective inhibition of calcium ions into cardiac muscle cells and vascular smooth muscle, thereby dilating vasculature, reducing peripheral vascular resistance, causing hypotension. The drug does not increase heart rate. Fascapin 20 is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after only a few minutes of taking the drug. Almost the drug is bound to plasma proteins (90-95%), metabolised in the liver and excreted in the urine and feces.

Fascapin 20 is indicated in the following pathological cases:

Cases in which Fascapin 20 should not be used:

Fentanyl combined with Fascapin 20 antihypertensive effect. During surgery, if high doses of fentanyl are used, nifedipine should be stopped or changed at least 36 hours before surgery.
Fascapin 20 reduces plasma concentrations of Theophylline. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs increase antagonism to the antihypertensive effect of Fascapin 20.

How to use
Take medicine with filtered water, do not chew, drink after meals to avoid stomach irritation.
Dosage
Myocardial ischemia or angina: 1 tablet (20mg) x 2 times/day. Maximum dose: 40mg (2 tablets) x 2 times/day. Primary or secondary hypertension: 1 tablet (20mg) x 2 times/day. Maximum dose: 40mg (2 tablets) x 2 times/day. The interval between 2 doses is 12 hours, at least 4 hours apart.
