Active ingredient Fluocinolone acetonide is a topical corticosteroid. When topical corticosteroids are applied to normal intact skin, only small amounts reach the dermis and then the general circulation. Absorption is significantly increased when the skin has lost its keratin layer, is inflamed, infected with bacteria and/or has other diseases of the epidermal barrier: Psoriasis. Depending on the extent and location of the lesion, assess the osmotic status of Fluvitar N: The drug will be absorbed more in the scrotum, axillary pit, eyelids, face and scalp, less absorbed in the forearm , knees, elbows, palms and soles. Even after rinsing the application site, corticosteroids are absorbed for a long time, possibly because the drug is retained in the stratum corneum. When applied on the skin, the amount of drug that is absorbed will be distributed into the skin, muscles, liver, intestines and kidneys. Corticosteroid active ingredients are first metabolized in the skin, a small amount is absorbed into the circulatory system and metabolized in the liver to inactive substances. Fluvitar N is excreted by the kidneys mainly in the form of glucuronide and sulfate, a small amount is excreted in the feces. The mechanism of action of topically administered Fluvitar N is due to a combination of three important properties: anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictor action. Fluvitar N contains corticosteroids that reduce inflammation by stabilizing the lysosomal membrane of leukocytes, inhibiting the concentration of macrophages in inflamed areas, reducing the adhesion of leukocytes to the capillary endothelium, and helping to reduce capillary permeability vascularization, reduction of complement components, resistance to the effects of histamine and release of kinins from the matrix, decreased proliferation of fibroblasts, collagen deposition and subsequent scarring in tissues. The component Fluocinolone acetonide has anti-mitotic activity of dermal and epidermal fibroblasts.

How to use: Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area. Dosage: Apply Fluvitar N 2-4 times a day, depending on the extent of the lesion. Dosage should be as prescribed by your doctor/pharmacist.

When taking Fluvitar N you may experience side effects such as:
