Hofatin drug belongs to the group of anti-allergic drugs and used in cases of hypersensitivity, prepared in the form of oral suspension packed in bottles of 30ml.
Hofatin medicine has the main ingredient Fexofenadin hydrochloride 30mg and other excipients in the drug.

Hofatin medicine is used in the following cases:
Treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis including typical symptoms such as: Continuous sneezing, itchy nose, stuffy and runny nose in adults and children > 2 years old. Treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria including skin manifestations such as: pruritus, papules, uncomplicated/scattered cluster edema of chronic idiopathic urticaria lasting more than 6 weeks in adults and children > 6 months old. Hofatin relieves itching and the number of urticaria.

3.1. How to take Hofatin is used orally. The patient can take the drug on an empty stomach or on an empty stomach. 3.2. Dosage Reference Hofatin dosage is as follows:
Allergic rhinitis:
Children from 2 to 11 years old: The recommended dose is 30mg Fexofenadin (5 ml)/time x 2 times/day. For patients with impaired renal function, the recommended starting dose is 30 mg Fexofenadine (5 ml) once a day. Adults and children 12 years of age and older: The recommended dose is 60mg Fexofenadine (10ml)/time x 2 times/day For patients with impaired renal function, the recommended starting dose is 60mg Fexofenadine (10ml)/ times/day. Chronic idiopathic urticaria:
Children 6 months to 2 years of age: The recommended dose is 15 mg Fexofenadine (2.5 ml)/time x 2 times/day. For patients with impaired renal function, the recommended starting dose is 15 mg Fexofenadine (2.5 ml) once daily. Children 2-11 years old: The recommended dose is 30 mg Fexofenadine (5ml)/time x 2 times/day. For patients with impaired renal function, the recommended starting dose is 30 mg Fexofenadine (5 mL) once daily Adults and children 12 years of age and older: The recommended dose is 60 mg Fexofenadine (10 mL) once daily. Twice daily For patients with impaired renal function, the recommended starting dose is 60mg Fexofenadine (10ml) once daily. Hepatic impairment: No dose adjustment of Fexofenadine is required. Elderly: No dose adjustment of Fexofenadine is required, except in the presence of impaired renal function. 3.3. What to do in case of an overdose of Fexofenadine? Information on Fexofenadine overdose toxicity is limited and cases of Fexofenadine overdose are rare.
Usually overdose symptoms of dizziness, somnolence and dry mouth have been reported.
In the event of an overdose of Fexofenadine, the usual measures should be used to remove the unabsorbed portion of Fexofenadine and to provide symptomatic treatment in conjunction with the enhancement of the condition. Hemodialysis reduces blood levels of Fexofenadin insignificantly (1.7%) and no specific antidote to Fexofenadine is currently available.

Hofatin drug should not be used in cases where the patient has a history of allergy, hypersensitivity to Fexofenadin or any of the excipients of the drug.

Clinically controlled results have been obtained in children 6-11 years of age with conventional use of Hofatin. The most common adverse event associated with Fexofenadine hydrochloride was headache in 1% of patients receiving 30 mg. Fexofenadine hydrochloride about 673 children and placebo patients about 700 children. The safety of children receiving Fexofenadine hydrochloride for longer than 14 days has not been established.
In clinical trials in adults, the following undesirable effects have been reported:
Headache, somnolence, dizziness (common) Nausea Hypersensitivity reactions, angioedema, dyspnea, flushing, anaphylactic shock. Insomnia, sleep disturbances or nightmares, stress. Tachycardia, palpitations Diarrhea Skin itching, rash, urticaria.

Be careful when using Hofatin for patients with liver and kidney failure, the elderly.
Do not arbitrarily use other H1 antihistamines while using Fexofenadin.
Patients with a history of cardiovascular disease should be warned that antihistamines are a drug associated with side effects such as tachycardia and palpitations.
Only use Hofatin for pregnant women when the benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus because there are no adequate studies of Hofatin in pregnant women.
Caution should be exercised when Hofatin is administered to a nursing woman because data on its excretion in breast milk are unknown.
Hofatin medicine can cause fatigue, headache, dizziness, so it should be used with caution when driving or operating machinery.
