Uses of Kegynan


Kegynan drug contains 3 main ingredients: Metronidazole, Neomycin sulfate, Nystatin. This is a vaginal suppository commonly used to treat symptoms of vaginitis, caused by certain types of fungi or bacteria.

1. What is Kegynan? Kegynan side effects

3. How to use and dose Kegynan

Give fluids in case of hypotension or shock. In case of methaemoglobinemia should use: Vitamin C 1g orally or intravenously; Methylene blue intravenously; Toluidine blue intravenous injection; oxygen, hemodialysis, blood exchange.

4. Undesirable effects of the drug Kegynan


At the beginning of using Kegynan, you are very likely to experience unwanted effects such as burning, or irritation of the vagina. However, it is not necessary to stop using the drug when these signs are mild and not too obvious. The adverse effects reported during use are as follows:
Headache; Low blood pressure, increased heart rate, dizziness, slow heart rate, nervousness or fainting; Nausea, dry mouth, loss of taste; flushing, blurred vision; Allergic reactions, red rash on the surface of the skin; Ankle edema; Methaemoglobin in the blood. 5. Kegynan drug interactions


Proven drug interactions are as follows:
Vasodilators, antihypertensives, β-blockers, calcium channel blockers, diuretics, sedatives, tricyclic antidepressants: Increases Nitroglycerin effect. Dihydroergotamine: When used in combination with the drug Kegynan increases blood levels of Dihydroergotamine, leading to hypertension and ischemia. Heparin: Reduces anticoagulant effect of the drug Heparin. Sildenafil, Tadalafil: Combined antihypertensive effect, possibly life-threatening resulting in death. Laxatives: Reduces absorption and reduces the concentration of nitroglycerin in the blood. Inform the treating doctor about the drugs you are using for guidance on safe and effective use of the drug.

6. Some notes when treating with Kegynan


6.1. Contraindications of the drug Kegynan Not to be used for:
