Uses of Midanir

1. Ingredients of Midanir


Each bottle of Midanir contains 5ml with the following ingredients:
Active ingredient: Midazolam content 5mg/5ml; Excipients with sufficient drug content: Natti chloride 40mg, disodium edetat 0.5mg, benzylic alcohol 55mg, sodium hydroxide just enough (for pH adjustment), hydrochloric acid 5mg, water for injection just enough 5ml.

2. What are the effects of Midanir?

Midazolam is a short-acting CNS depressant of the benzodiazepine class. Midazolam's CNS effects are dose dependent, route of administration and the presence of other drugs.
Midazolam injection is indicated in the following conditions:
Intramuscular / intravenous injection for sedation, anxiety relief and amnesia before surgery; Midazolam alone or in combination with other CNS depressants for intravenous administration for sedation, anxiety relief and amnesia before or during diagnostic, therapeutic or endoscopic procedures, coronary angiography , cardiac catheterization, tumor procedures, X-rays, sutures...; Midazolam is administered intravenously as a general anesthetic prior to the use of other anesthetic agents. Midazolam can also be administered intravenously as an adjunct along with nitrogen oxide and oxygen; Midazolam in combination with a sedative for rapid control of schizophrenia associated with aggression/loss of behavioral control; It is also used for rapid control of intermittent seizures.

3. Dosage and how to use Midazolam


Pre-anesthesia:
Intravenous Midazolam dose 2.5 mg. Inject 5 - 10 minutes before the procedure, if necessary to re-establish the dose of 1mg, the total dose should not exceed 5mg. Elderly people reduce the dose of Midazolam to 1-1.5mg. Midazolam intramuscular injection 30 minutes before anesthesia for surgery: Adults use a dose of 0.07 - 0.1mg/kg, children use a dose of 0.15 - 0.20mg/kg. Induction:
Intravenous dose of Midazolam 10-15mg; In children, intramuscular injection of Midazolam 0.15 - 0.20 mg/kg in combination with ketamine 4 - 8 mg/kg; Maintain maximal anesthesia with midazolam dose 0.05 - 0.4 mg/kg/hour. 4. Contraindications to taking Midazolam


Midazolam is contraindicated in the following cases:
Patients with hypersensitivity to Benzodiazepine and other ingredients in Midazolam; People with alcohol poisoning, congestive heart failure, liver failure, myasthenia gravis, acute or chronic lung disease; Pregnant women in the first 3 months.

5. Drug interactions


Possible interactions when using Midazolam concurrently with the following drugs and food:

6. Side effects of the drug Midazolam
