1. What is Motarute?

Pharmacokinetics:
Absorption: moxifloxacin in tablet form is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Bioavailability is approximately 90% and is not affected by food. Distribution: The ratio of moxifloxacin to plasma proteins is approximately 50% and is independent of concentration. Moxifloxacin is widely distributed in the body, with higher concentrations in tissues than in the blood. Metabolism: moxifloxacin is metabolised to the sulfate-conjugated form (M1), accounting for about 38%, which is excreted in the fraction, and conjugated with glucuronide (M2), about 14%, is excreted in the urine. Elimination: The half-life of moxifloxacin in the blood is 12 hours. The drug is excreted in feces and urine.

3. Indications and contraindications of Motarute


Motarute is usually indicated in the treatment of conjunctivitis caused by microorganisms sensitive to moxifloxacin.
Gram-positive bacteria: Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Staphylococcus hominis, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus warneri, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus viridans, Micrococcus luteus. Gram-negative bacteria: Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Acinetobacter lwoffii. Chlamydia trachomatis Contraindications: absolutely do not use motarute for the following subjects:

4. Dosage and how to take Motarute


Dosage: 3 times a day into the inflamed eye, only 1 drop each time
Note: the clinical condition will improve within 5 days, then continue to use the drug for 2-3 days. If the condition does not improve after 5 days, the diagnosis and treatment should be reviewed.
What to do if you miss a dose of Motarute ?
Put another drop as soon as you remember. If it's close to your next drop, skip it and apply the next one as planned. Do not apply 2 drops at a time to make up for a forgotten time. What to do in case of an overdose of Motarute?

6. Some notes when using Motarute

Use in children under 1 year: the safety and effectiveness of the drug have not been established in this population.
Motarute is used for eye drops, not for injection. Do not use the drug for a long time, do not wear contact lenses when taking the drug.
