Uses of Nicarlol plus

Nicarlol Plus belongs to the group of blood pressure drugs, in the form of film-coated tablets, with the main ingredients being Nebivolol (in the form of Nebivolol hydrochloride) and Hydrochlorothiazide. Follow the article below to know what Nicarlol plus does? Dosage and how to use?

1. What does Nicarlol plus do?

The use of Nicarlol plus is a combination of 2 main ingredients, in which:
Active ingredient Nebivolol is a mixture of optical isomers of D-Nebivolol (a selective and competitive Beta adrenergic receptor blocker) and L-Nebivolol. Nebivolol interacts with L-Arginine/Nitric oxide to cause mild vasodilation. In particular, Nebivolol is unlike endogenous sympathomimetic, does not antagonize Alpha adrenergic receptors and is not membrane stable. As a result, this active ingredient can help slow down the heart rate and lower blood pressure. Long-term use of the drug will help lower blood pressure and maintain a stable blood pressure. Active ingredient Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to the group of diuretics, has the effect of increasing the elimination of sodium ions. As a result, it may help to reduce the extracellular volume and plasma volume. The result is a decrease in the patient's blood pressure.

2. Indications of the drug Nicarlol Plus

Nicarlol plus is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure.

3. Contraindications of Nicarlol plus

Nicarlol Plus is contraindicated for use in the following cases:

Heart shock. People with decompensated heart failure. People with grade II, III heart block (no pacemaker is allowed). People with severe kidney failure; People with acute heart failure,. People who have not been treated for adrenal myeloma. People with metabolic acidosis. People who have had bronchospasm. People with bronchial asthma. People with hyponatremia. People with hypercalcemia. People with bradycardia < 60 beats/min before. People with low blood pressure. People with hypokalemia. People with gout have high uric acid in the blood.

6. Interactions of the drug Nicarlol Plus

Related to Nebivolol active ingredient:
Class I antiarrhythmic drugs (Quinidin, Cibenzolin, Hydroquinidin, Flecainide, Lidocaine, Disopyramid, Mexiletin or Propafenone) if combined with Nicarlol Plus can increase the effect on time atrioventricular conduction. Combining Nicarlol Plus with calcium channel blockers Verapamil and Diltiazem may cause atrioventricular block or excessive hypotension. If taking Nicarlol Plus with antihypertensive drugs such as Clonidine, Moxonidine, Guanfacine, Rilmenidine, Methyldopa, it may increase the side effects of heart failure. Class III antiarrhythmic drugs (Amiodarone) when combined with Nicarlol Plus may increase the effect on atrioventricular conduction time. The combination of Nicarlol Plus with halogenated gaseous anesthetics, oral antidiabetics and insulin may cause an interaction reaction that reduces tachycardia. In case of combining Nicarlol Plus with the muscle relaxant Baclofen, it can cause a sharp drop in the patient's blood pressure. In addition, caution should be exercised when combining Nicarlol Plus with calcium channel blockers of the Dihydropyridine class, tranquilizers, sympathomimetics or antidepressants. Related to the active ingredient Hydrochlorothiazid:
The active ingredient Hydrochlorothiazide in Nicarlol Plus can cause patients to have orthostatic hypotension if used with narcotic sleeping pills or alcohol. Combination with antidiabetic drugs can increase blood sugar. Co-administration with Cura muscle relaxants is not recommended because response may be increased. Concomitant use of diuretics may reduce lithium clearance and increase nephrotoxicity. Concomitant use of NSAIDs may reduce the antihypertensive and diuretic effects. Concomitant use with Quinidine may occur torsades de pointes, ventricular fibrillation. In addition, caution should be exercised when combining with gout medications, anticoagulants, anesthetics, vitamin D, Glycoside, Cholestyramine, Colestipol, Terfenadin, Halofantrin, Astemizol, Pimozide, Sotalol.
