1. What is Raxiz?


Raxiz is a drug on the ETC prescription drug list. The main ingredient of the drug is Vigabatrin 500mg. Treatment of spasms in children between the ages of 1 month and 2 years. 3. Usage and dosage of the drug Raxiz


Raxiz is made in the form of long film coated tablets. Each box contains 3 blisters, each blister contains 10 tablets. The drug is used mainly orally. The time of taking the drug is not related to the patient's meal.
The recommended dosage of the drug is as follows:
For the treatment of persistent complex partial seizures: People over 16 years: Oral starting dose of 1000mg/day in 2 divided doses. It is recommended for adults to take 3000mg/day in 2 divided doses. Children from 10 to 16 years old: It is recommended to start with 500mg/day in 2 divided doses and gradually increase the dose to 2000mg/day in 2 divided doses. Note that in children weighing more than 60kg, the dose is equivalent to the dose of people over 16 years old. Treatment of spasms in children in the period from 1 month to 2 years: The starting dose is 50mg/kg/day divided into 2 times. Every 3 days, gradually increase the dose by 25-50mg/kg/day, up to a maximum of 150mg/kg/day. Treatment of West syndrome in neonates with an initial dose of 50 mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses. Adjust dose after 1 week if necessary. Use in patients with renal impairment: The dose depends on the creatinine clearance at the same time interval. If creatinine clearance is between 50 - 80ml/min: reduce dose by 25%. If creatinine clearance is in the range of 30 - 50 ml/min: reduce dose by 50%. If creatinine clearance is in the range of 10-30ml/min: reduce dose by 75%.

4. Side effects and notes when using Raxiz
