1. Uses of Taericon


Taericon is indicated for use in the following cases:
Cefaclor is indicated in cases of infections caused by susceptible bacteria; Effective in the treatment of otitis media, respiratory tract infections, including pharyngitis and tonsillitis, acute and chronic urinary tract infections including pyelonephritis and cystitis; Effective in the treatment of skin infections, sinusitis, urethritis caused by gonococcal infection. Taericon should not be used in patients with a history of sensitivity to cephalosporin antibiotics and in children under 1 year of age.

2, Dosage and how to use Taericon


Taericon is taken orally and taken on an empty stomach.
For adults:
The usual dose is 250mg every 8 hours. The daily dose should not exceed 4g/day; In case of pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis, the usual dose is 250mg, 3 times per day; For the treatment of gonococcal urethritis, a single dose of 3g in combination with 1g of probenecid is used. For children:
The usual dose is 20mg/kg/day, divided and taken every 8 hours; For the treatment of bronchitis and pneumonia, use a dose of 20mg/kg/day divided into 3 times; For the treatment of more severe infections, 40mg/kg/day in divided doses may be used. The maximum dose is 1g/day.

3. Side effects


Shock: In this case, the patient should stop taking the drug and should be carefully monitored clinically, in addition to taking appropriate treatment measures; Hypersensitivity: rash, urticaria, erythema, pruritus, fever, swollen lymph nodes, arthralgia and serum sickness-like syndromes.. Hepatic: Jaundice, increased GOT, GPT, and AL-P may occur, although rarely. 4. Drug interactions


Probenecid slows down the excretion of cefaclor; Absorption of cefaclor is reduced if antacids containing aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide are taken within 1 hour; Cefaclor causes prolongation of prothrombin time.
