4. Interaction of Tesmon Injection with other drugs


Concomitant use of Tesmon Injection and oral anticoagulants will increase the risk of bleeding by increasing the effect of anticoagulants. When initiating Tesmon Injection in a patient taking oral anticoagulants, the dose of the anticoagulant should be reduced to avoid an excessive decrease in serum prothrombin. When patients are taking these drugs concurrently, the physician should regularly monitor the INR and prothrombin time, especially when starting and stopping Tesmon Injection.
Using Tesmon Injection with other antidiabetic drugs may alter the body's sensitivity to insulin or change the patient's ability to control blood sugar. The metabolic effects of Tesmon Injection can reduce blood sugar levels, thereby reducing insulin requirements in patients with diabetes. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the dose of hypoglycemic agents in diabetic patients if Tesmon Injection is used.
Concomitant use of Tesmon Injection with ACTH or corticosteroids may increase fluid retention and cause coating. Therefore, Tesmon Injection should be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, kidney and/or liver disease.
Long-term use of Tesmon Injection may be resistant to the effects of the following drugs: Suxamethonium and vecuronium.
Tesmon Injection can falsify many test results such as glucose tolerance tests and thyroid function tests.
