People with cerebral aneurysms are sensitive to sound

Ask
Hello doctor. My mother has a brain aneurysm and has just had an aneurysm implant inserted. She has been discharged from the hospital for 3 months, everything is stable, no headache or fever. But my mother is sensitive to loud noises or crowded places. Does that have any effect? And will it end later? My mother still has regular check-ups, everything is normal. Hope the doctor can help you. I thank you.

Answer
Thank you for submitting your question to Vinmec Health System. It is not clear when the mother's sensitivity to loud sounds or noisy places has existed (before or after brain aneurysm intervention). However, if your mother has had regular checkups, no headaches, and all tests are fine (no abnormalities), then her condition is probably not related to brain aneurysms. I should let my mother go to a medical facility specializing in Ear, Nose Throat and Psychology of Vinmec hospital for examination and advice. Wish your mother well.
