Answered by Master, Doctor Pham Thi Thuy Nhung - Laboratory Department, Vinmec Hai Phong International General Hospital.
With the question “What is abnormal blood test result? , the doctor would like to answer as follows:
Your blood cell count has an increased white blood cell count (including neutrophils and lymphocytes). Such results are usually due to an infection or inflammation in a certain part of the body. In addition, an increased white blood cell count may be seen in the case of chronic malignant leukocytosis,...You should have a thorough medical examination to find the exact cause.
Increased blood uric acid can be caused by a diet high in purine such as viscera of animals, shrimp, seafood, ... drinking a lot of alcohol, kidney failure, diseases that cause excessive cell destruction such as diseases malignancy, ... due to the use of drugs such as corticosteroids, diuretics (furosemid), anti-tuberculosis drugs, ... You see if your diet has a lot of purines, if so, you need to adjust the direction of your diet. Eat more green vegetables and reduce foods high in purine and check uric acid again after a period of 1 to 3 months to adjust the diet. General health examination for doctors to give timely advice.
If you still have questions about blood tests, you can go to a hospital under Vinmec Health System for further examination and advice. Thank you for trusting and sending questions to Vinmec. Wishing you lots of health.
