The 1st Biobank Internatinal Meeting 2019

The 1st Biobank international Meeting 2019 took place at Vinmec International Clinic, Hanoi, on 6 Nov 2019. The meeting provided a platform to discuss the current directions in biobanking, with the participation of different biobanks from Austria, India, Japan, Taiwan, and Iran.

• Dr. Ngo Anh Tien, Vinmec Biobank Director, welcomed attendants and opened the meeting, with a presentation of Vinmec Biobank.
• We heard about current biobanks status (Dr Birendra Kumar Yadav, India; Dr Chung Ke Chang, Taiwan; Prof Arash Etemadi, Iran) and about the future of biobanking (Prof Karine Sargyan, BBMRI and University of Graz, Austria). New IT solutions to manage biobanks were also presented (Dr Laurent Jacotot, Modul-Bio, France).
