Unit Name: Inpatient Stem Cell Transplant Unit of Regenerative Medicine Center.

Founding:

The unit was established on 12/07/2017, formerly a part of the pediatric center. The main task is stem cell transplantation to treat children with diseases:

  • Cerebral palsy due to postpartum asphyxia, postpartum jaundice with bilirubin, drowning, brain sequelae after encephalitis...
  • Autism
  • Circular muscle disorder due to sequelae of spinal cord injury.
  • Cirrhosis due to congenital biliary atresia.

Notable Achievements:

  • As a newly established unit, it has had success in the field of Stem Cell transplantation for the treatment of incurable diseases, successfully improving the quality of life for many families with children suffering from these diseases.
  • In 2018, the Unit cooperated with the Stem Cell Research Institute and Gene Technology to deploy the topic of Stem Cell transplantation for endocrine deficiency treatment and type II diabetes treatment.

Location:

  • The unit is located on the 6th floor of the hospital with the name Stem Cell transplant inpatient treatment area.

Staff:

  • The unit has 03 masters and 01 doctor who are experienced in the fields of paediatrics, internal medicine, anesthesiology and resuscitation.
  • 17 nurses specialize in taking care of these special diseases, including foreign nurses who collaborate to take care of patients.
