Hello friend,
With the question "How should guilain barre syndrome be treated?", the doctor would like to answer as follows:
Guillain-barre syndrome when there is an indication for plasma exchange. had a severe prognosis. Plasma exchange only helps the majority of patients but not 100% will recover. There have been cases of very poor response to plasma exchange, including infusion of Human Immunoglobulin. According to your description, your father is quite sick and responds poorly to treatment. Therefore, you should let your father go back to the doctor for a full assessment and more accurate advice.
If you still have questions about Guillain Barre syndrome, you can go to a hospital under Vinmec Health System for further examination and advice. Thank you for trusting and sending questions to Vinmec. Wishing you lots of health.
Best regards!
