Is it okay to have a fast heart rate during activity?

Question
Hi doctor,
My heart rate at rest is around 70-80. However, when I get up and walk, it's 100-110. Can I ask if your heart rate is fast when you're active?

Hello,
With the question “Is it okay to have a fast heart rate while working? ", the doctor would like to answer as follows:
Our heart normally has about 60-100 cycles / minute. However, this number also depends on many factors such as age because babies and young children have a faster heart rate; or when exertion, strong emotions, ... the heart rate is also faster.
Your heart rate at rest is 70 - 80 beats/min which is normal. However, when you sit up or walk, that is when you are exerting yourself, your heart rate can speed up. However, if you sit and rest and your heart rate returns to normal, that's fine. On the contrary, when resting for about 10-15 minutes but the heart rate is still fast, you should see a specialist to find out the cause and prescribe the right treatment. quickly, you can go to a hospital under Vinmec Health System for further examination and advice. Thank you for trusting and sending questions to Vinmec. Wishing you lots of health.
Best regards!
