Answer
The ductus arteriosus is present in all babies during pregnancy and closes from birth until about 1-2 weeks later due to physiological changes in the body young. If children over 4.5 months are diagnosed with ductus arteriosus, they should go to a pediatric cardiologist, the specialist will base on clinical symptoms, echocardiographic results such as the diameter of the ductus arteriosus, Pulmonary artery pressure, degree of valvular regurgitation for more specific treatment advice.
