I tested positive for CRP biochemical test, AST (GOT) 1681 U/L, ALT (GOT) 3087 U/L, GGT 177 U/L. What does a positive CRP biochemical test mean? Do you have chronic hepatitis? Serum C will rise rapidly, so CRP is known to be a marker of inflammation in the body. It is an acute phase reactant, produced in the liver and excreted into the bloodstream several hours (approximately 6 hours) after the onset of inflammation. Once the inflammation is over, the C-reactive protein is quickly lost.
