After giving birth for more than 2 months, still bleeding, do I have to stop the delivery?

Question
I gave birth by caesarean section for two and a half months and still bleeding. On ultrasound, the uterus was clear, no fluid was seen. I don't have any pain or fever. Only across the incision line it is numb. The doctor asked me, did I have a maternity leave? If so, how should I treat it?

Hello. After cesarean section, if a woman has a discharge, typical symptoms will appear such as: high fever, tightness, pain in the lower abdomen. There is very little vaginal discharge, when the cervix is examined, there is black blood, which may be accompanied by a foul odor due to infection. The abdomen is hard, with raised lumps... Therefore, your symptoms indicate that your chances of stopping the discharge are quite low.
In your case, had an ultrasound, so you can contact the doctor again to discuss and have a more intensive intervention direction. Or you can also go to the hospitals of Vinmec Health System for more advice.
Thank you for trusting Vinmec. We look forward to meeting you for a more detailed consultation.
