Bilirubin test index is 51 Phimol/l is it okay?

Question
Near the end of 2019 I went to the hospital for a green card check, after blood and urine tests, all my parameters are normal. Only Bilirubin index is 51 Phimol/l. I asked the person who recorded the results and it was okay, but I was still a bit worried. May I ask if the Bilirubin test index is 51 Phimol/l? If tested, what tests should I do?

Hello! With the question "Bilirubin test index is 51 Phimol/l, what's wrong?" The doctor would like to advise as follows:
Allowable index of Bilirubin in urine: 0.4-0.8 mg/dl or 6.8-13.6 mmol/l. Normally Bilirubin will be excreted in the faeces, in the urine there is no Bilirubin or if it is, very little. Increased amount of bilirubin in the urine is a warning sign of liver and gallbladder disease. Urine bilirubin appears in cirrhosis, liver disease, hepatitis caused by infection, virus, hepatocellular destruction, common bile duct obstruction ...
With your results, the doctor is not sure how the unit is, if it is 51 mmol/l, it is higher than normal. You should visit a gastroenterologist and do more liver and bile function tests so that the doctor can make an accurate conclusion. You can go to the hospitals of Vinmec Health System for more advice.
