Playing with children is a very meaningful activity to help children develop comprehensively mentally, physically and create a bond between parent-child relationship. So how to play with your child properly?

1. Sorting toys

In families, it is often seen that parents buy big baskets for their children to store toys. When he wants to get/play, he will empty all the toys in there and when he puts it away, everything is put back in the basket. This invisibly creates a habit for children to keep things messy, without rules.
In the Montessori method, children will be guided where to get objects, after playing, they will leave them in the same place. Toys will be classified according to different themes, and cabinets are placed close to the wall and within reach of children.

2. Spend time really playing with your child

Have you ever played with your child while looking at your phone? Or are you too tired to answer questions or keep up with your child in movement games?
Based on your parents' time, you can spend 10-15 minutes or even more, but really play with your child. Pay attention to play, listen to your child talk, observe how he is doing, talk to him. And play.

3. Unify the rules while playing

The game seems to be simple, but I think playing should not lack rules for parents and children while playing. These principles can be developed and adjusted during play, and need to be discussed and agreed upon between parents and children. There are some parenting principles below that you can refer to:

4. Be my friend

While playing, parents should become the leader, supporter and friend of the child. Avoid giving too much instruction, children need the opportunity to discover how these things work, try to see how to complete the jigsaw, what are the ways to play with these toys. Children sometimes learn more from mistakes while playing, creating new things. Our job is to suggest and guide children, do not rush to put them in fixed molds of thought. Give your child a world that is always new and full of interesting things to explore.
