1. What is Hodgkin lymphoma?


Hodgkin lymphoma, also known as Hodgkin lymphoma or Hodgkin lymphoma, is cancer of the lymph nodes, belonging to the body's immune system. However, scientists have found a lot of evidence that infection with certain pathogenic bacteria such as viruses that cause fever or swollen lymph nodes plays a role in the development of Hodgkin lymphoma.
In addition, some of the following factors are considered as risk factors for pathological Hodgkin lymphoma:
Age of disease: about 15 - 30 years old or over 55 years old; Family history: Family history of Hodgkin lymphoma; Infection with the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV); Weakened immune system (due to HIV infection or after organ transplantation,...) Having diseases related to the immune system, also known as autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, arthritis rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis...

3. What are the symptoms and characteristics of Hodgkin lymphoma?

Hodgkin lymphoma causes some of the following symptoms:
One or more lymph nodes are enlarged but painless. The lymph nodes are soft and elastic to palpation. The initial site of lymphadenopathy was on one side of the neck, above the collarbone. In the armpit or groin area, when the lymph nodes are enlarged, they can stick together. In the chest region, pathological Hodgkin lymphoma with lymphadenopathy can cause coughing, shortness of breath, and malaise. Hodgkin lymphoma in children can cause high fever, itching in the lymph node area, frequent sweating at night, and weight loss in children. Is lymphoma dangerous?
Hodgkin lymphoma can cause disease from mild to severe. However, if the disease is detected early and treated promptly, it will bring treatment results and a high success rate, about 80%.
