1. What is Asiamox?

The drug is effective against both gram-negative bacilli and gram-positive bacteria such as streptococcus, E.coli, staphylococci that do not produce Penicillinase, Proteus mirabilis, H.fluenzae... For groups of bacteria that produce Penicillinase or When bacteria are resistant to Methicillin, Amoxicillin is not effective in the treatment. This active ingredient is inactive against Enterobacter and Klebsiella. Indications for use of Amoxicillin with patients:
Infections of the upper respiratory tract such as otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis... Lower respiratory tract infections: Pneumonia, bronchitis... Patient is infected gastrointestinal bacteria, especially typhoid fever. People with urinary tract infections such as gonorrhea, gynecological infections, pyelonephritis... Combine with other groups of antibiotics or drugs to treat bacteremia, meningitis, infection In addition, Amoxicillin is also used to prevent endocarditis because it prevents bacteremia from growing on the endocardium.

2. Uses of Asiamox


The main use of Asiamox is bactericidal, the drug works very well in cases of gram-negative and gram-positive infections.
Indications to use Asiamox in the following cases:
Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria groups. Treatment of lower respiratory tract infections. Treatment of infections of the ear, nose and throat, genitourinary system or gastrointestinal infections. Prophylactic treatment of endocarditis. Contraindicated to use the drug with:
People with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the drug. Patients with hypersensitivity to beta-lactam drugs.

3. Dosage and how to use Asiamox medicine


Asiamox is produced in the form of powder for oral suspension, packed in boxes, each box has 20 packs of medicine.
The drug is for oral preparation, not for infusion or other drug routes.
Dosage:
For adults and children over 40kg: Take 750mg - 3g daily divided into 3 times. For children under 40kg: Take a dose of 20 to 50mg/kg/day, divided into several times a day. In patients with renal impairment, the dose should be adjusted according to the patient's condition, disease severity and response to the drug.

4. Side effects and notes when using Asiamox


The side effects of Asiamox are usually mild and transient, may experience symptoms such as:
Digestive disorders causing vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, poor appetite... Severe allergic skin reactions or mild depending on the location and the patient's condition, rash, urticaria with itching sensation. Anaphylactic shock reactions may also occur. Angioedema, neuroedema, increased risk of serum sickness, interstitial nephritis or vasculitis... Amoxicillin components in the drug can affect the liver and kidneys leading to hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, sperm urinary body. If the patient has renal failure or prolonged use of high doses of the drug may lead to convulsions. Some cases of hemolytic anemia, transient leukopenia, prolonged Prothrombin time... To limit the risk of unwanted effects, when taking the drug, it is necessary to note a few things:
Use the drug exactly as prescribed by the doctor, do not arbitrarily increase or decrease the dose of the drug without consulting a specialist doctor or people with medical expertise. Some drugs can interact with Asiamox such as birth control pills, Allopurinol or Probenecid. Therefore, it should be considered if there is an indication to use the same time.
