Uses of Betaclo

Betaclo drug is made in the form of a topical cream, with the main ingredient being Clobetasol propionate. The drug is used topically for anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstriction.

In 1g of Betaclo medicine contains Clobetasol propionate 0.5mg and excipients. Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid used topically for the treatment of additional diseases. When applied to the skin, this ingredient has anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and vasoconstrictor effects (thanks to its ability to inhibit the release of chemical mediators that cause allergies such as bradykinin, histamine, serotonin,...).
Indications for use of Betaclo drug: Treatment of skin diseases that do not respond to weak corticosteroids include:
Atopic dermatitis; Eczema, psoriasis ; Inflammation of the skin caused by exposure to light; Flat lichen; Discoid lupus erythematosus. On the other hand, Betaclo drug is not allowed to be prescribed in the following cases:
People who are allergic to any ingredient in the drug formula; Children under 12 years old; Rosacea, perioral dermatitis, acne, fungal infections, bacteria, primary viral skin infections.

Betaclo drug is indicated for topical application. Initially, you clean the skin areas to be treated and then pat dry with a clean towel. Then, you apply a thin layer of cream on the skin to be treated and then let it dry naturally.
Dosage: Apply 1-2 times a day to the affected skin, do not treat for more than 2 weeks, the total dose should not exceed 50g/week. If you forget to apply Betaclo, apply it as soon as you remember. For small wounds, Betaclo drug is less likely to cause acute poisoning when overdosed. In case of using a large amount of Betaclo drug on a large area and in the state of being covered with a towel, Clobetasol (the main ingredient of Betaclo drug) can be absorbed into the body and cause systemic effects. If you experience unpleasant side effects, the patient should be hospitalized immediately for timely treatment.

Betaclo drug is mainly used to treat the wound site, so it almost does not cause systemic side effects, but only causes local side effects such as: burning, pain in the area where the medicine is applied, cracked skin, skin itching, skin atrophy, ... If you see any unusual symptoms, the patient should immediately notify the doctor for timely intervention and treatment.

Before and while using Betaclo drug, patients should note:
Pregnant women: A part of Betaclo drug can be absorbed through the skin, especially when treating a large area of ​​skin, so it should not be used. use this medicine during pregnancy; Lactation: There are no specific studies on the distribution of the drug in lactating women. It is best to avoid or stop breastfeeding while applying Betaclo medicine; When treating with Betaclo drug, it is not recommended to cover the area of ​​​​the skin applying the drug because it may increase the risk of systemic side effects and create a moist, closed environment that is easy to cause infection; Betaclo should not be used for more than 2 weeks; The skin on the face, groin, and armpits is often more susceptible to atrophy than other areas of the skin when treated with corticosteroids. If the skin at these locations is damaged, it is recommended to monitor daily for early remedial measures; If the diseased area is accompanied by an infection, the drug should be stopped and antibacterial preparations should be used to treat it first.

There are currently no reports of interactions between Betaclo topical and other drugs/oral supplements. To avoid interactions, avoid applying at the same time as other topical medications or moisturizers.
