Maxidex in the form of eye drops contains the active ingredient Dexamethasone 0.1%. Dexamethasone 0.1% belongs to the group of corticosteroids with anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. Dexamethasone acts by binding to cell receptors, acting on translation genes, increasing Corticotropin release through suppression of the pituitary gland, thereby stopping Corticosteroid secretion in the adrenal gland.
Maxidex is indicated in the treatment of eye diseases such as:
Inflammation of the eyelids, eye allergies; Herpes eye infection; Iritis; Prophylaxis of eye inflammation in patients with burns caused by chemicals in the eye or after eye surgery.

The dose of Maxidex is prescribed by the treating doctor based on the patient's condition, the recommended dose in adults is 1 drop / time x 3-4 times / day.
Maxidex is prepared in the form of eye drops, so patients need to use the drug by instilling drops into the eyes, do not let the tip of the bottle touch the eyes or anything because of the risk of increasing drug infection.
