Uses of Covaryx

Covaryx is often indicated for the relief of symptoms of menopause. Complying with indications and doses of Covaryx will help patients improve treatment effectiveness and avoid unwanted side effects.

Covaryx contains the main ingredients Esterified, Estrogen and Methyltestosterone. Where:
Esterified is a sex hormone produced by the ovaries. Estrogen is the most important hormone for women, begins to be secreted at puberty and remains throughout the reproductive process. Methyltestosterone is a sex hormone produced in the testes of men. Small amounts of testosterone are also produced from a woman's ovaries and adrenal glands. Covaryx combines 2 hormones: 1 female hormone (Esterified, estrogen) and 1 male hormone (methyltestosterone) that will add man-made hormones to reduce those discomforts.

Covaryx is indicated for use in the following cases:
Short-term treatment of symptoms of menopause. Hot flashes, night sweats, dryness, itching and burning around the vagina due to decreased estrogen. Treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause in patients who have not improved with estrogen alone.

Covaryx drug should not be used in the following cases:
Allergy to estrogen, methyltestosterone or any other ingredient of the drug. Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. Severe liver failure. History of stroke, having a blood clot due to the drug increases the risk of clot formation, increases the risk of bleeding. Patients with breast, cervical or vaginal cancer due to estrogen have an increased risk of developing tumors. Pregnant and lactating women should not take Covaryx.

Patients with cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia should be cautious when using Covaryx. Patients with fibroids, breast cancer should be considered due to the risk of increased tumor size. Covaryx can cause melasma, skin pigmentation changes. Therefore, it is necessary to minimize the time in the sun, use sunscreen, and protect the skin from direct sunlight. Do not give Covaryx to children. Patients who have to sit for long periods of time or take long flights should consider Covaryx because of the increased risk of blood clots.

The estrogen component of Covaryx combined with smoking further increases the risk of stroke, blood clots, high blood pressure and heart attack, especially in women over 35 years old. The drugs Anastrozole, anticoagulants, Corticosteroids, Exemestane, Ospemifene, Raloxifene, Tamoxifen, Tranexamic acid used in combination with Covaryx can change drug bioavailability. Some antifungal drugs such as Itraconazole, macrolide antibiotics, rifampicin, anticonvulsants can affect the elimination of Covaryx.

How to use:
Covaryx is in the form of tablets. Patients should take Covaryx tablets whole with water at the same time of day, with or without food.
Dosage:
Usual dose 1 tablet / time / day. The drug cycle lasts 28 days, taking Covaryx pills continuously for 21 days. Then take a 7 day break and continue using the next cycle.

Some unwanted effects that may be encountered when using Covaryx include:
Dizziness, lightheadedness and headache. Nausea, gastritis, weight gain and bloating. Chest tightness, increased or decreased interest in sex. Anaphylactic reaction. Mood swings, depression, memory loss. Swollen hands and feet, lumps in the breast. Unusual vaginal bleeding that persists or recurs. Abnormal vaginal discharge, vaginal itching or blindness. Jaundice, yellow eyes, skin pigmentation disorders. Dark urine. Bad progression of seizures. Masculinization, deep voice, facial hair, ... due to the composition of methyltestosterone.
