Uses of Trixlazide

Trixlazi medicine is made in the form of tablets, with the main ingredients including calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin D3. The drug is used to supplement these vitamins and minerals for many different users.

1. What are the effects of Trixlazi?

Trixlazi medicine has ingredients including: Calcium carbonate (calcium), Magnesium hydroxide (magnesium), Zinc sulfate (zinc) and Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). The ingredients of the drug Trixlazi have the following uses:
Calcium: Oral calcium is used to treat chronic hypocalcaemia and calcium deficiency. Hypocalcemia occurs in cases of chronic hypoparathyroidism, pseudohypoparathyroidism, rickets, osteomalacia, chronic renal failure, hypocalcemia due to anticonvulsants, vitamin D deficiency. Daily diet does not provide enough calcium needed for the body's needs. Hypocalcemia causes convulsions, tetany, growth retardation, behavioral and personality disorders, mental retardation, bone deformities, rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults; Magnesium: A trace element that plays an important role in health. Along with calcium, magnesium is involved in many bodily functions. Without enough magnesium, calcium will not be added to the bones; Zinc: An essential trace element found in many enzyme systems. Severe zinc deficiency can cause diarrhea, skin lesions, increased risk of infection, and growth retardation in children. Symptoms of zinc deficiency include loss of taste and smell, slow wound healing; Vitamin D3: Plays an important role in bone formation thanks to its effect on the metabolism of inorganic substances (mainly calcium and phosphate). When vitamin D3 is deficient, the intestines will not absorb enough calcium and phosphorus, causing blood calcium to decrease. At this time, calcium is mobilized from the bones to stabilize blood calcium levels, resulting in growth retardation, rickets, delayed walking, slow fontanelles, and bow legs. Adults are at risk for osteoporosis, spongy bones, and fragile bones. Pregnant women with vitamin D3 deficiency can give birth to babies with bone defects. Indications for use of Trixlazi: Calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin D3 supplements in the diet in people with mineral deficiencies, especially:
During menopause, after menopause; Children are growing; Pregnant and lactating women; Elder. Trixlazi drugs are not allowed to be prescribed in the following cases:
People who are sensitive or allergic to the excipients/components of the drug; Related to calcium carbonate: Ventricular fibrillation in cardiac resuscitation, hypercalcemia, cardiac and renal disease, digitalis use (risk of digitalis toxicity), severe calciumuria and immobility-induced osteoporosis, destructive malignancies skeletal.

2. How to use and dose Trixlazi

The drug Trixlazi is taken orally. The recommended dose of the drug is 2 tablets / day or 1 tablet x 2 times / day, taken before meals.
Currently, there are no cases of overdose when using Trixlazi. When blood calcium levels exceed 2.6mmol/L (10.5mg/100mL) is considered hypercalcaemia. Discontinuation of calcium therapy may resolve the mild condition in asymptomatic patients with normal renal function.
When blood calcium concentration exceeds 2.9mmol/L (12mg/100mL), immediately use intervention measures including: Rehydration by intravenous infusion of 0.9% sodium chloride; for forced diuresis with furosemide or ethacrynic acid to increase the excretion of calcium and sodium if too much sodium chloride 0.9% solution is used; monitor potassium and magnesium levels in the blood, replace blood early to prevent complications; ECG monitoring, β-adrenergic blocking agents can be used to prevent severe arrhythmias; can hemodialysis, use calcitonin and adreno corticosteroid in treatment; determine blood calcium levels in a certain period of time to have appropriate treatment orientation.
If you forget to take a dose of Trixlazi, you should take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time.

3. Side effects of the drug Trixlazi

When using Trixlazi, patients may experience some rare side effects such as: Constipation, flushed face, sweating, low blood pressure,... When experiencing side effects of the drug, illness Patients should stop taking the drug and immediately notify the doctor or go to the nearest hospital for examination and treatment.

4. Be careful when using Trixlazi

Before and while using Trixlazi, patients should note:
Be careful when using Trixlazi in cases of mild hypercalciuria, chronic renal failure, symptoms of calcium accumulation in the kidneys. It is recommended to regularly monitor calcium levels in the urine; Trixlazi is unlikely to cause harm to pregnant or lactating women when taken at the usual recommended daily dose.

5. Trixlazide drug interactions

Some drug interactions of Trixlazi include:
Drugs that inhibit renal calcium excretion including: Thiazides, chlorthalidone, clopamide, ciprofloxacin, anticonvulsants; Calcium reduces the absorption of drugs: fleroxacin, levofloxacin, lomefloxacin, demeclocyclin, doxycycline, metacycline, oxytetracycline, tetracycline, minocycline, enoxacin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, pefloxacin, zinc, iron and other essential minerals; Calcium increases the cardiotoxicity of digitalis glycosides (because increasing blood calcium concentration increases the inhibitory effect of Na+-K+-ATPase of cardiac glycosides; Glucocorticoids, phenytoin will reduce calcium absorption from the gastrointestinal tract; Diet with phytate and oxalate components will reduce calcium absorption because these components combine to form difficult-to-absorb complexes; Trixlazi should not be used concurrently with cholestyramine or colestipol hydrochloride because it will reduce Intestinal absorption of vitamin D3; Trixlazi should not be used concomitantly with phenobarbital and/or phenytoin as these drugs may reduce plasma concentrations of 25-hydroxy-cholecalciferol and 25-hydrogen ergocalciferol, increasing the metabolism of vitamin D3 to Inactive substances; Trixlazi should not be used concurrently with corticosteroids because it will interfere with the effect of vitamin D3. Trixlazi helps to supplement nutrients and minerals for the body, prevent rickets in children , osteoporosis in adults,... When even Patients should strictly follow the doctor's instructions to ensure the best effect and reduce the risk of complications and unpredictable side effects.
