Uses of Xhance


Xhance is a product that needs to be used exactly as prescribed by the doctor and the manufacturer's accompanying medication instructions. Before using Xhance nasal spray, patients should inform their treating doctor if they have any other medical conditions.

1. What is Xhance?


Xhance is a nasal spray product with the active ingredient Fluticasone Propionate. The main active ingredient of Xhance is a corticosteroid that inhibits the release of inflammatory substances in the body.

2. Some warnings before taking Xhance

3. Instructions for using Xhance


Patients need to use Xhance exactly as prescribed by the doctor and the manufacturer's accompanying medication instructions. Never share Xhance nasal spray with other patients, even if they have similar symptoms themselves.
Before each nasal spray, the patient should shake the bottle of Xhance nasal spray well.
If switching to Xhance from another type of corticosteroid product, the patient must never stop taking the previous medication suddenly. Instead, follow your doctor's instructions about reducing your dose slowly.
Patients may need some time (approximately a few days) on Xhance before nasal polyp symptoms improve. After that, you should maintain using Xhance as directed, if the symptoms do not improve after 1 week of spraying, the patient should inform the treating doctor.
Store Xhance nasal spray in an upright position, store at room temperature, away from moisture and extreme temperatures. The patient should throw away the spray bottle after 120 sprays have been used, even if there is still medication in the bottle.
Recommended dosage of Xhance:
Usual Adult Dose for Nasal Polyps: One spray of Xhance (equivalent to 93 mcg Fluticasone propionate) into each nostril, twice daily. The total daily dose of Fluticasone is 372 mcg; Doses of 2 sprays (equivalent to 93 mcg of Fluticasone propionate per spray) in each nostril twice daily may be effective in some patients. The total dose of Xhance per day in this case was 744 mcg; The maximum daily dose of Xhance nasal spray should not exceed 2 sprays in each nostril, up to a maximum of 2 times daily (total daily dose of Fluticasone is 744 mcg); Patients should use Xhance nasal spray regularly, as the effectiveness of treatment depends on whether the patient uses the drug continuously or not. Each patient will experience a different time of onset and the degree of symptom relief will vary widely. The safety and effectiveness of Xhance in excess of the recommended dose have not been established. Issues to avoid when using Xhance nasal spray:
Avoid getting Xhance into eyes or mouth, if this happens the patient needs to rinse with water; Limit contact with patients with suspected or confirmed infectious diseases. Contact the treating physician for precautions when a patient taking Xhance comes into contact with a patient with chickenpox or measles.

4. Xhance drug side effects


Patients taking Xhance medicine need urgent medical intervention if they have manifestations of an allergic reaction such as hives, generalized rash, feeling like fainting, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.
Notify the treating doctor immediately if the patient taking Xhance experiences the following side effects:
Severe nosebleeds, persistent; Wheezing, runny nose, or crusting around the nostrils; a red rash, sores, or white patches in the mouth or throat; Fever, chills, body aches; Blurred vision, eye pain, seeing halos around light bulbs; Any skin wound that is slow or does not heal; Signs of a hormonal disorder such as fatigue, muscle weakness, feeling light-headed, nausea, vomiting. Corticosteroids such as fluticasone in Xhance nasal spray can affect growth in children. Therefore, the use of this product is contraindicated in patients under 18 years of age.
Some other common side effects of Xhance include:
Mild nosebleeds; burning or itching sensation in the nose; sores or white patches on the inside of the nose or around the nose; Cough, difficulty breathing; Headache, back pain; Sinus pain, sore throat, fever; Nausea, vomiting.

5. Xhance drug interactions


Before taking Xhance, the patient needs to inform the treating doctor about the list of all other drugs being used, especially:
