Hello doctor! I had the mitral valve replaced and the tricuspid valve repaired with a bandelette but today's ultrasound showed calcified aortic valve. So the doctor asked me if I can replace the aortic valve when it is calcified? Thanks for the advice doctor!

Hello! Depending on the degree of calcification of the aortic valve causing different clinical symptoms, the doctor will prescribe surgery for the patient.
For calcified valve lesions that do not cause severe stenosis or stenosis with valve regurgitation, there is no indication for surgery, the doctor will advise patients to have periodic re-examination and follow-up ultrasound every 6 months to 1 year.
