Answered by Doctor Nguyen Van Duong - Cardiovascular Center, Vinmec Central Park International General Hospital.
Hello,
With the question “How to treat bradycardia? , the doctor would like to answer as follows:
Bradycardia can be a sign of an abnormality in the electrical impulse conduction system of the heart, that is, the location of the heart's natural electrical impulses - the sinoatrial node - SA), abnormal functioning, or the pathway that conducts electrical impulses in the heart for some reason is damaged, not intact.
Normal bradycardia is 60-100 beats/min. In some people with cardiovascular disease, the heart rate is often slow, accompanied by fainting spells. At that time, the patient needs to see a cardiologist for treatment and a pacemaker can be placed to prevent syncope. However, some healthy people with a heart rate of 50 to 60 times without these symptoms do not need treatment.
If you still have questions about bradycardia treatment, you can go to a hospital under Vinmec Health System for further examination and advice. Thank you for trusting and sending questions to Vinmec. Wishing you lots of health.
Best regards!
