Is HBsAg positive a sign of hepatitis B?

Ask
Hello doctor. Yesterday, I took a test for HbsAg and got a positive result of 1820 (COI). So is my score high or low? Like what should I do to treat the disease?
I would like to thank you.

Answer
Hi,
Your HbsAg test result is 1820 (COI) positive. This is the surface antigen of the hepatitis B virus, this index is not used to assess whether the virus is high or low in the blood. To know if the virus in the blood is high or low, it is necessary to do a HBV test to measure the viral load.
Regarding treatment, many factors need to be considered: liver function, high or low viral load, whether the virus is progressing strongly in the body or not... So you need to go to reputable medical facilities. for examination and testing, ultrasound... as well as treatment consultation. Good healthy!
