Do anesthetics affect the health of children?

Doctor! My child is prescribed gastrointestinal endoscopy but he is only 3 years old now, he is afraid that the anesthetic will affect his health. Doctor give me some advice. Should I let my baby perform endoscopic anesthesia? I would like to thank the doctor.

Up to now, there have been no studies showing that anesthetics have harmful effects on the brain of children. However, endoscopic anesthesia for 3-year-old children needs to be performed by a team of skilled doctors at reputable medical facilities.
